• Priorities:

    • Economic Development - Create an environment that attracts high paying jobs

    • Fiscal Responsibility - Ensure tax revenues are spent efficiently and effectively

    • Public Safety - Support local law enforcement officials to protect our quality of life and the safety of our citizens

    • Strong Infrastructure - Look for efficient ways to improve and maintain our current roads, buildings, and facilities

In February, I celebrated a milestone in my life. I took the next step in my public service career, filing for the District #5 seat on the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners. This seat is being vacated by Brent Smoyer who is running for the Nebraska Legislature. I have considered running for elective office for many years, and realized the time was right for me to take on this challenge.

While I don’t have a Republican opponent in the May 13th primary, I have a Democrat opponent in the general election. Recently, I began walking door-to-door introducing myself to the voters in the district and listening to their concerns: high property taxes; public safety; increased economic development, and road maintenance.

I know that in the next few years the biggest challenge for Lancaster County will be balancing the right level of services given the limited resources available. If elected, I will bring my common sense approach to county government to address this challenge.

As we approach the general election in November, I plan to meet as many constituents as possible and run an effective grassroots campaign. Thank you again for your support! I look forward to visiting with you in the coming weeks.  Please feel free to call or email me if you have questions.

Very Sincerely,

Todd W.
